Apostle Cannon delivered a powerful message to our church family about the reality and danger of seducing spirits. He explained that seducing spirits are lying spirits sent by the enemy to twist the truth of God’s Word, confuse the mind, and make what is false appear as truth. Their mission is to lead people away from faith and into deception, often through influence, manipulation, and false doctrine.
Drawing from 1 Timothy 4:1–3, Apostle Cannon reminded us that the Spirit has already warned that in the latter times many will depart from the faith, listening to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. These spirits cause people to exchange the truth of God for a lie, making them believe that light is darkness and darkness is light, that wrong is right and right is wrong.
He emphasized that seducing spirits often work subtly—through relationships, culture, and even voices that sound spiritual but are not rooted in God’s truth. Apostle Cannon encouraged us as a church family to stay alert, discerning, and anchored in the Word of God. By knowing Scripture, walking in the Spirit, and maintaining prayer and fellowship, we guard ourselves against deception and remain steadfast in truth.
